Before Sunrise (1995) - Before Sunset(2004) - Before Midnight(2013) - Definitely smart screenplays...

In first two movies, Jesse and Celine are young, passionate, romantic and it is fun to listen to their smart conversations during the whole movie and it makes you feel smart too in a way. They aren't responsible for anything, they don't live together or aren't married or don't have any kids. Therefore, they are absolutely free from the realities of the real life or grown-ups's lives. However, in Before Midnight, they are kind of married since they live together - they don't have to posses a legal document showing they are bound to one another - and they have twins, which means they come face to face with middle age responsibilities: raising kids, taking them to school and picking them up from the school, cooking and a great deal of other things they need to do. Jesse seems satisfied with his life, maybe because he is a writer and he doesn't have to follow a routine of 8 am and 6 pm. On the other hand, Celine has to follow that cycle and she is upset about dealing with everything about the house and the girls and feels trapped like a typical housewife. Then you get that the idea of that your sense of freedom and being passionate about anything will disappear because of being married and having kids. It doesn't matter whether your are the wife and the husband. It may not be the case for you, though.

The Hobbit - The Desolution of Smaug

The dragon talked too much...

The second instalment of Peter Jackson's fantasy trilogy based on JRR Tolkien's book absolutely is an entertaining adventure tale and will be a blockbuster.

Peter Jackson and everyone working for the movie have done a great job and presented it to us. It's artistically and intellectually beautiful to watch a two hour 40 minutes running movie.

However, I wish it was possible to watch a normal version of it other than the 3D version at the cinema. I also wish the dragon wouldn't speak that much. Perhaps it isn't fair to talk like that because I haven't read the book. But this is how it made me feel.

Sinekli Bakkal - by Halide Edip Adıvar
